Job Summary

Join Expand Energy as a Drilling Analyst II, where you will play a critical role in analyzing, optimizing, and communicating all aspects of our drilling operations. This mid-level position involves continual communication with the field to identify poor drilling practices, mitigate potential non-productive time (NPT) events, and optimize operations through the utilization of offset data.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of drilling operations, both on and off-bottom
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret real-time drilling operations, benchmarking against offset data
  • Identify, document, and communicate drilling best practices to field staff, engineers, and managers
  • Utilize torque and drag modeling and analyze trends to enhance drilling efficiency and safety
  • Apply basic knowledge of directional drilling principles to optimize well paths and outcomes
  • Evaluate data, create compelling presentations, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders

Job Specific Skills

  • Proficient in working and communicating effectively with both co-workers and system users
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn company-specific software
  • Foundational knowledge of Spotfire, SQL, and data analytics to support data-driven decisions
  • Familiarity with real-time operations monitoring and data streaming technologies

Education

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) program

Experience

Minimum: 2 - 5 years
