Job Summary
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful day to day operations of the facility
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships effectively, internal customers and stakeholders plus landlord representatives, outside visitors
- Oversee general maintenance and repair work
- Ability to successfully manage to the lease terms to ensure successful tenancy
- Respond to requests from building tenants and occupants
- Collaborate with campus leaders to understand facility needs and develop plans to meet those requirements
- Present key facilities and campus-related information to senior management and the Campus Leadership Teams, and assist in making timely strategic decisions when limited information is available to ensure operational effectiveness and alignment with long-term facilities and real estate objectives
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues
- Monitor and analyze facility performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic corrective actions as necessary
- Develop and manage the facility operational budget, including forecasting expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while successfully managing to the budget
- Ensure directives from onsite building management are fulfilled
- Serve as liaison between company/tenants and onsite building management
- Work with HSE and building management to ensure comprehensive emergency management plans and protocols
- Manage and oversee construction projects within the facility
- Liaise with other company facility managers to ensure consistent and best in class facilities
- Work with Employee Services on other building related initiatives including events
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to facility maintenance and repairs
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in facility operations and management

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to read construction drawings, space plans, and interpret lease obligations
- Strong financial acumen (budgets, operating statements, variance analysis)
Education
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university
Experience
Minimum: 8 years of property management experience
Preferred: 10 years of property management experience
Preferred: Commercial real estate experience
