Job Summary
The LNG, Power, and Infrastructure Originator is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and advancing strategic commercial and investment opportunities across the LNG value chain, power markets, and large‑scale energy infrastructure sectors. This role focuses on building and maintaining a robust deal pipeline, cultivating relationships with project developers, utilities, upstream producers, infrastructure funds, and strategic partners, and evaluating new markets and emerging energy trends that support long‑term corporate growth.
The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial instincts, deep sector knowledge, and the ability to conceptualize, structure, and champion opportunities from initial idea through execution. This position works closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to assess strategic fit, drive early‑stage deal development, and support transaction execution across LNG supply/offtake, power generation, midstream assets, and emerging low‑carbon solutions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, source, and originate strategic opportunities across LNG, power markets, and energy infrastructure, including project development partnerships, long‑term offtake opportunities, joint ventures, acquisitions, and minority investments
- Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline through direct industry outreach, market intelligence, conference engagement, bank and advisor relationships, and active monitoring of global LNG and power market activity
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, regional market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify high‑value opportunities aligned with corporate strategy
- Conduct preliminary commercial and strategic assessments of LNG supply/offtake structures, power generation projects, midstream assets, and infrastructure investments prior to formal modeling and due diligence
- Collaborate closely with commercial modeling, strategy, finance, and market fundamentals teams to evaluate strategic fit and prioritize the opportunity pipeline
- Lead early‑stage engagement, including NDAs, target qualification, commercial construct development, and initial valuation discussions
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with project developers, utilities, infrastructure funds, private equity groups, banks, advisors, and industry executives to stay informed on market trends and deal flow
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders—Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and ESG—to articulate the strategic rationale and value proposition for each opportunity
- Track and communicate global LNG, power, and infrastructure market trends, competitive shifts, and strategic risks/opportunities to senior leadership
- Prepare and deliver high‑quality presentations and materials for executive leadership and the Board on target opportunities, market analysis, and pipeline status
- Support negotiation strategy and commercial structuring in collaboration with execution teams across corporate development, legal, and commercial functions

- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to identify high‑potential opportunities early
- Excellent communication and executive‑level presentation skills
