Job Summary

Provides technical support to Expand Drilling Company.  Support and optimize daily operations, systems, and infrastructure. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems run efficiently, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions which drive performance and reliability.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares project timelines, cost estimates and procedures, reviews reports and records for accuracy, tracks project costs, verifies invoices and may participate in post project analysis
  • Follows plans, policies and programs to optimize business unit performance
  • Lead and manage complex engineering projects from inception through implementation, ensuring timely and on-budget completion
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, new technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
  • Maintains all necessary files for supporting various projects
  • Coordinate with Operations, maintenance, vendors, and etc.. to clarify any questions or disputes concerning various projects, operations, and or equipment
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on operational performance, project status, and strategic initiatives to senior management
  • Create, implement and track rig operational performance kpi’s
  • Perform detailed analysis of operational performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide technical oversight and support to the operations team, ensuring optimal performance
  • Support rig operations in technical troubleshooting and structural concerns, repairs and documentation
  • Create, implement and track capital assets run cycles, repairs and integrity
  • Assists with AFE estimates, tracking, and documentation as needed
  • Assists in presentation preparation including backup support documentation
  • Assists team in meeting their budget goals
  • Assess and adjusts to changing priorities while simultaneously handling numerous ongoing project activities

Job Specific Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of the oil and gas industry
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to integrate well performance/nodal analysis, pressure transient analysis, material balance, volumetric and decline curve analyses in the evaluation are essential
  • Advanced knowledge and practical application of volumetric calculations, decline curve reserve determinations, appropriate analogue techniques and material balance assessments
  • Expertise in economic evaluation and reserve assessment for exploration programs, development drilling programs, work overs and production optimization opportunities
  • Advanced knowledge of high pressure/high temperature environments
  • Advanced knowledge and application of fit-for-purpose equipment design
  • Advanced knowledge of formation evaluation
  • Advanced knowledge and application of reservoir simulation techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of unconventional experience associated with tight gas reservoirs, CBM development, and shale gas resource work
  • Ability to use rigorous logic, critical thinking skills and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions

Education

Minimum: Bachelor's degree - from accredited university

Minimum: One of the following:

Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) program, or

Professional Engineer (PE) license, or

Master’s degree - from accredited university - Master’s of Engineering degree from a program in which the correlating Bachelor’s degree is accredited by the ABET EAC

Experience

Minimum: 8 years related work experience

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with invoice management, procurement and basic accounting with experience in a management support role is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and Outlook) is necessary
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
