Job Summary
This advanced level position is responsible for defining, analyzing and interpreting financial information in order to support the company's corporate and strategic planning functions and marketing department depending on business needs.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyzes and interprets data to determine past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability
- Reviews costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to major projects, initiatives or programs
- Performs advanced statistical, cost and financial analysis of data reported in various financial systems
- Develops advanced financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
- Guides other analysts in the development of skills, knowledge, processes and procedures
- Defines, captures and analyzes metrics for processes, data and data quality in order to measure and quantify continual improvement and increases in value to the company
- Performs analytical and administrative duties related to capital market activity, such as issuance of debt, equity or hybrid securities, commodity hedging, credit facility activity, convertible note exchange, debt portfolio and indenture compliance monitoring
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specific Skills
- Highly developed knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Enhanced knowledge of Excel and data modeling
- Enhanced data extraction experience to determine accuracy and identify unusual variations
- Enhanced presentation, analytical and multitasking abilities
Education
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
