Job Summary
This position is responsible for monitoring the daily compressor rates to optimize production by eliminating inefficiencies present in compression. This position is viewed as being highly experienced in compressor operations and can troubleshoot most compressor operational problems.
Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a 40-mile radius of the Wheeling Field Office (1034 East Bethlehem Blvd., Wheeling, WV 26003) or reside and/or willing to relocate within a 40-mile radius of the Morgantown Field Office (1300 Fort Pierpont Dr., Suite 201, Morgantown, WV 26508) to be considered for this position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors daily optimization of compressors, troubleshoots and communicates corrective actions taken to fix problems with compression
- Provides complex technical information using analytical tools to provide solutions to compressor problems and throughput
- Train lower-level field personnel including Production Technicians, Lease Operators and Optimizers
- Coordinate with vendors regarding issues, repairs, and maintenance.
- Follow up on compressor problems to ensure timely completion.
- Work with vendors to maintain cleanliness of units, skids, and to repair leaks.
- Compressor Downtime management
- Collect and analyze data from lease operator, foreman, and SCADA to optimize compression throughput
- Uses critical thinking skills to analyze and solve complex failures and maintenance issues
- Identifies and maintains maintenance schedule
- Identifies potential solutions to increase throughput if applicable
- Coordinates with other production foreman, lease operators, and third party specialists to ensure daily operations and compressor work are properly supervised
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Advanced understanding of surface facilities and operation of Compressors
- Advanced knowledge of oil and gas industry
- Ability to perform on the job training
- Ability to provide timely response to operational needs, while maintaining quality of work
- Advanced ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution
Education & Experience
Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 5 years related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 9 - 12 years related work experience
