Job Summary

This specialist level field position is considered a subject-matter expert that has responsibilities including, but not limited to, day to day oversight of water related activities with limited supervision, water transfer operations, water facility and infrastructure construction and maintenance, water equipment surface rentals, containment operations and water transport in order to contribute to efficient field operations.

 

Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a 60-mile radius of the Mansfield Field Office (1970Highway 84, Mansfield, LA 71052) to be considered for this position.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoots and repairs water systems as needed
  • Assists and trains less experienced Technicians as needed
  • Sets up and tears down of equipment used on water transfer jobs
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly
  • Responds to requests and coordinates the One-Call or Call Before You Dig program
  • Assists with the acquisition and management of right-of-way for water transfer operations
  • Performs all duties, and ensures all contractors perform all duties, according to Expand's EHSR Guidelines
  • Inspects and maintains water facilities and systems to current specifications
  • Coordinates work of contractors including project management expectations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of related equipment and materials
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, data entry, set up functions, process information and other office procedures and terminology
  • Ability to demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Advanced ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution
  • Ability to provide timely response to operational needs, while maintaining quality of work

Education & Experience

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and 12 years or more related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 15 years or more of  related work experience

Additional Qualifications

Ability to possess a valid drivers license
